What is a Faith Folder?

A Faith Folder is our version of a Lapbook^TM. Our Faith Folders are Catholic based and are used to teach and spread the Catholic Faith. They are sold as a digital product to be downloaded as a pdf file by the customer.

What is a Lapbook?^TM

A lapbook^TM is a tool used to showcase and consolidate material studied and learned on a given topic. A lapbook^TM is created from a file folder, refolded to create a book which can be held in the lap. Many different mini-books and other special projects are then stored and displayed in the lapbook^TM. Lapbooks^TM can be used for science, social studies, phonics, religion and so much more. The possibilities are endless!

What are Faith Rings?

Faith Rings are a new product available from Faith Folders for Catholics. Each ring holds a set of laminated cards on a variety of faith based topics. Examples include Catholic Prayers, Ten Commandments and Works of Mercy. These are sold as a finished product that will be shipped to the customer.

Practical & Housekeeping Announcements

• I am also making the Faith Folders available in a variety of ways. You will now notice that you can purchase an e-book version or choose the cd-rom option. The product is the same, just a different method of delivery. Visit the Product Options page for more information.
• I have been approached by a couple of bookstores and have ventured into the area of wholesale. Sacred Heart Books and Gifts and Adoremus Books now carry the Faith Folders on cd-rom. They are the same price as available through this website, just available from multiple sources now.
• I am working on making the Faith Folders available in a kit. Look for this to come in the near future.

Many of you may already know the touching story of the Barrett Family. Their son, Ryan, suffered a grand mal seizure while on a father-son camping trip and passed away on August 13, 2009. If you haven't heard their story, please view the links below. Mary Ellen Barrett is a Catholic mom, wife, homeschooler, writer, blogger and has helped many through her writing. Ryan had a beautiful faith and was drawn to religious life. Despite his autism, many in his life wondered if he might have a priestly vocation. His death and the stories that have been shared since then are so touching and, to me, seem to reveal that this young man did indeed have a religious calling. I have been so touched by this family and their story that I am dedicating the Year for Priests Faith Folder in memory of Ryan Barrett and am donating 50% of all proceeds from its sale to the charities chosen by his family. Just for Fun!

I thought I'd share a couple of fun pictures of our 2 year-old, Clare, with you. One picture is what happens when I am distracted as I create a new Faith Folder and the other is of the wonderful help I sometimes get putting together the sample of a new Faith Folder. Can you guess which one is which?!
